OCTOBER 6TH_OPENING OF OPEN SPACE CONNECTION IN LAUSANNE
On October 6th at 18h, vernissage in Lausanne of the first “Open Space Connection”. An exhibition of public space projects from the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona and the Lemanic Arc region curated by Cities Connection Project.
Through the exhibition “Open Space Connection” and the conference “Quels jardins pour la ville d’aujourd’hui?” The City of Lausanne wishes to raise awareness, explore, reflect on the role, uses and in the design of open spaces in the city. These two events fall within the framework of the « Année du Jardin 2016 – Espaces de rencontre » and fulfill one of the objectives of the national campaign launched abroad on the meaning, the use and preservation of spaces free in urban Switzerland.
SEPTEMBER 15TH_EXHIBITION TICINO in COAC Tarragona
last September15th Martino Pedrozzi made the opening lecture for the exhibition Import Ticino_Architecture and Territory in Coac Tarragona. It was the first roaming of this exhibition that was shown in Barcelona in October 2013. After the opening, there was a dinner in barhaus, where young local architects could discuss with Martino and the curators about the role of new generations in Ticino.

SEPTEMBER 7th_PRESENTATION OPEN SPACE CONNECTION IN LA GALICIENNE, LAUSANNE
last september 7th there was a presentation of Open Space Connection with teams from Arc Lèmanique selected in the exhibition that will open in October 6th in l’Orangerie du Spadom in Lausanne. There was a meeting between the four curators, teams selected and some representatives of public administrations. Also it was presented a new association named l’Interurbain, that would be a new cultural connector in the city of Lausanne

JUNE 29TH_SUMMER COCKTAIL IN PAVILLION MIES VAN DER ROHE

CCP_team, with the support of USM modular furniture, organized a summer cocktail last July 29th in Pavillion Mies van der Rohe, and presented Open Space Connection. The new exhibition will take place in l’Orangerie Spadom (Lausanne, October 6th) and will show 32 projects of public space from Àrea Metropolitana Barcelona and Arc Lémanique.

Daniel Kurz, Editor-in-chief of werk, bauen + wohnen, and president of premisFAD 2016 International Jury talked about “Swiss tendencies in architecture and the exchange with the Iberic peninsula”, and debated with the other two members of the Jury, Belén Moneo and Xavier Bustos about the influences between catalan, spanish and swiss architects.

MAY 12TH_GUIDED VISITS to Mehr Als Wohnen, Zürich

About 40 people (architects, sponsors, students…) travelled from Barcelona to Zurich and could enjoy guided visits to some of the cooperative housing buildings during two days. We visited Mehr als Wohnen with Pool Architekten and Duplex, Zwicky Süd with Schneider Studer Primas, Kraftwerk 1 with Andreas Hofer and Kalkbreite with Müller Sigrist.


MAY 11TH_EXHIBITION BIG SUCCESSFUL Architekturforum Zürich

Great succesful in the openning of the Cities Connection Project in Architekturforum Zürich with the exhibitions “Export BARCELONA. Social Housing in Urban Context” and “Import ZURICH_Cooperative housing: New Ways of Inhabiting” with more than 300 people that assisted to the event.
About 40 people (architects, sponsors, students…) travelled from Barcelona to Zurich and could enjoy guided visits to some of the cooperative housing buildings.
